Meet Joy

Studying: Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management
High School: Irrawang High
Hometown: Newcastle

“I chose my degree because I love the outdoors and being hands-on. Since I’m studying what I love doing, I don’t ever find it boring.

I believe that the social side of uni is just as important as your studies. At the moment, I’m in the Quidditch team and environmental club. I am also in a program called iLEAD, the University’s international leadership program, which allows me to study abroad and travel for volunteering programs and leadership conferences.

This year I’ll be going to Africa for a two week volunteer trip and safari. I’m also planning on going on a student exchange to the UK for six months.”
