Nursing - a career in caring

Does caring for others come naturally to you? A Bachelor of Nursing can provide you with the skills and knowledge to make a real difference within the community.

The University of Newcastle currently has more than 1900 Bachelor of Nursing students enrolled across three campuses, making our program the largest in Australia.

One of the highlights of the degree is the amount of practical placements undertaken throughout the three years.  Our students experience approximately 850 hours in clinical settings such as community centres, aged care, mental health settings and major teaching hospitals throughout the Hunter, Central Coast, North Coast and regional areas through our University Department of Rural Health.

They are happy to mentor you to advance your nursing education. This combined with interesting learning experiences both in tutorials and laboratories provide a well rounded nursing program.”
