Important changes to 2013 Newstep applications

If you don’t gain enough marks in your HSC for entry to uni, or if you are unable to complete your HSC, then Newstep is your pathway into university.

The application opening date for the 2013 Newstep program has changed. Applications will now open on Wednesday December 19, 2012.

Newstep is a tertiary preparation program offered by the University of Newcastle. It is a free one-year program which has been designed for 17-20 year olds who didn't complete the Higher School Certificate or who didn’t gain sufficient marks for entry into university.

Newstep is offered at both our Newcastle and Central Coast campuses. It is accepted as an entry qualification by many universities in Australia.
