
Have you ever wanted to play a musical instrument or sing with a choir? The University of Newcastle Conservatorium Of Music’s Community Open Day on Saturday September 22 is your chance to fine-tune your passion.
Now in its 60th year, the Conservatorium offers students a range of musical styles from classical to rock, jazz, folk, pop, electronic and more.
The Conservatorium’s highly qualified and experienced staff will be on hand at the Community Open Day to help you get the most out of your musical experience.
Free demonstrations and workshops in a variety of instruments and musical styles will be held throughout the morning along with jazz and musical improvisation workshops. Family groups are welcome and there will be sessions run just for kids.
Admission is free with a lucky door prize of four free lessons with an instrument of your choice.
The fun begins at 9am and will continue until 1pm.
