Did you know that the University is not just a space for its students and staff? We are focused on building strong regional communities and offer many of our state-of-the-art facilities to the public for hire.

These facilities range from large auditoriums catering up to 1,200 people for school presentations along with sporting facilities including an aquatic centre, multipurpose courts and ovals to lecture theatres, classrooms and function rooms and meeting rooms.

The University partners with NUServices, Gather and Sprout Social to provide you with a number of catering options for events on each campus. All catering services use fresh ingredients, for a quality catering experience. Below is information on each catering service; click the links to find out which service will suit your event best.

It is critical you have the right insurance for your event. You will need to provide the Venues and Events team with a certificate of currency (Public Liability Insurance) to the value of $20 million. The Public Liability Insurance is to be in the same name as the applicant or organisation.

A Workers Compensation Insurance policy provides an employer coverage in the event one of their employees suffer a work related injury or illness. You will need to provide the Venues and Events team with a certificate of currency (Workers Compensation Insurance). The Workers Compensation Insurance is to be in the same name as the applicant or organisation.

If you or your organisation is a Charity or a Not for Profit organisation and your event is raising money on behalf of a Charity then you may be eligible for a reduced application fee. You will need to supply a Certificate of Charity or Not for Profit Status and/or a Letter of Authority to Fundraise.
