Growing as an individual through tertiary study
After spending some time in the workforce, Kayla recognised the need for formal qualifications to further her career. With a keen interest in social media marketing, she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Business at the University of Newcastle, with a major in marketing.
“My experience has been both rewarding and challenging so far. I’ve had the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects, from management to marketing and even electives outside of my degree. I’ve met some amazing people, and with the guidance of the lecturers and my peers, they’ve helped me grow as an individual in ways I never thought were possible,” she said.
Despite the challenges that come with university life, Kayla credits her support network for helping her stay on track and strive for excellence in all aspects of her studies.
Kayla enjoys studying at the city campus. “What’s great about studying at NUSpace is that it’s a world-class facility located right in the heart of Newcastle,” she said.
Currently in the final year of her studies, Kayla aspires to use her formal qualifications to launch a career as a Social Media Marketer.
