Biography

Sonja is a Lecturer in Pharmacy at The University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health (UONDRH) in Tamworth.  This position enables her to work collaboratively with undergraduate pharmacy students and preceptors to enhance the clinical placement experience of  students in rural and regional settings.

Sonja's role at the UONDRH includes being a Rural Pharmacy Liaison Officer (RPLO). As an RPLO, Sonja supports local pharmacists by coordinating and facilitating local continuing professional development opportunities and providing networking for intern and newly graduated pharmacists.

Sonja has worked as a pharmacist in both community and hospital settings in Sydney, Newcastle and Tamworth since graduating in 1993. She is also been an Accredited Consultant Pharmacist with the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy since 2004.
