Biography
Ricky Pomroy is an Associate Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health, based in Port Macquarie. This position enables her to work collaboratively with undergraduate allied health students, local clinical educators and therapists to enhance the clinical placement experience of Occupational Therapy students in a regional setting. Ricky has previously worked in New South Wales, Victoria and Canada as well as in both public and private health care settings. The majority of her career has been working in the area of adult rehabilitation and aged care. She completed her Masters of Public Health in 2012, and is interested in population health, clinical education and workforce drivers and retention.
