Biography

Ricky lives and works on Birpai Country in Port Macquarie. She is an Occupational Therapy academic with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health. This position enables her to work collaboratively with undergraduate allied health students, local clinical educators and therapists to enhance the clinical placement experience of Occupational Therapy students in a regional setting. With experience in both occupational therapy and interprofessional education, she values interprofessional collaborative practice as a means to enhance health outcomes for individuals and communities. 

Passionate about regional health and wellbeing, Ricky is committed to providing high-quality undergraduate healthcare education in regional and remote Australia, ensuring students are well-equipped to meet the unique challenges and opportunities of these settings
