Career Summary

Biography

Jeremy is an experienced emergency nurse with over 15 years of clinical practice in major metropolitan emergency departments in Newcastle. Throughout his career, he has held a range of education and leadership positions, including Nurse Educator & Clinical Nurse Consultant at John Hunter Emergency Department. In these roles, Jeremy developed a strong interest in the value of clinician-led research to enhance the delivery of care in complex and high-acuity settings. Jeremy continues to work clinically as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department.

Since 2022, Jeremy has contributed to the University of Newcastle through course development and teaching in the field of emergency nursing. He is also pursuing a PhD, focusing on peer-led cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training in the Australian community. This research project builds on his involvement with Hunter Heart Safe, a local CPR training charity dedicated to improving community resuscitation outcomes.
