Deputy Vice-Chancellor International & Advancement, Winnie Eley, said the University’s success in the 2018 New Colombo Plan funding round would provide life-changing opportunities for its exceptional students to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in fields of global relevance.

"UON believes the international mobility of our students is key to educating graduates who are ready to go out into the world and solve the many challenges facing it.

“Participating in this program will give our students a greater cultural awareness and contribute to their preparedness to enter the workforce and build global perspectives. Our students will also make professional and personal connections that will stay with them throughout their lifetime.

“It is hoped that through these experiences, a new generation of Australians will gain an in-depth knowledge of our region, helping to influence Australia's future prosperity,” Mrs Eley said.
