Career Summary

Biography

I have extensive experience in supporting educational research and educator professional development in Australia, working across a number of project that focus on equity, access and transition to higher education and student pathways. I've spent years at the front of the classroom teaching students from Year 7 to Masters level, and supporting research partnerships across multiple education settings.

My passion is equity and supporting students to feel safe, supported and included in spaces they have traditionally been excluded from. I've worked as a project manager assisting in the pilot and delivery of online teacher professional development specifically in rural and remote areas of Australia, research assistant investigating student aspirations and imagined futures after school and as a research and evaluation officer support STEM professionals to become classroom teachers. I've also volunteered in sport media and production with a focus on building safe, inclusive coverage across Australian Ice Hockey.

I'm a secondary English and Modern History teacher by trade and I also hold postgraduate qualifications in Museum Studies and Business (Sport Management). Whilst all of these might not seem directly related, my experience in professional and volunteer roles across the higher education, public programming and sport media is underpinned by a keen interest in providing equal opportunities, increased representation and safe environments for people with non-traditionally represented backgrounds.
