Career Summary

Biography

As a proud Wiradjuri woman, I operate from a critical Indigenous standpoint which informs all that I do in my personal and professional life. I was raised on Wiradjuri and Awabakal Countries, and hold kin connections and stories from across western New South Wales. These connections inform the way I see the world, shape my values, ethics and responsibilities, and drive my passion for Aboriginal Education.

I bring 14 years of experience in Aboriginal Education across secondary, professional, and tertiary contexts. My practice is shaped by curriculum leadership, culturally grounded pedagogy, and relational teaching.

Since commencing my career in education, my focus has been on improving the educational experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and supporting our mob who work within our schools and our communities to do education our way. This standpoint continues to inform my teaching, research, and aspirations in education.
