Biography
Yunlei is a PhD candidate and a member of Cancer Signalling Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Matt Dun. Her research focuses on understanding how tumour metabolism influences gene regulation in Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG). Specifically, her project investigates a recently discovered modification called lysine lactylation which links changes in lactate metabolism to epigenetic control of gene expression. By mapping how lactylation reshapes chromatin, Yunlei aims to identify a new epigenetic vulnerability that could be targeted to improve therapeutic outcomes for DMG patients.
