Biography
Yu (John) Wu is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Organisational Behaviour in the Newcastle Business School at the University of Newcastle. His primary research focuses on the role of emotions in the workplace, including interpersonal emotional regulation, emotional labour, customer mistreatment, customer service, service management, and leadership. His work has been published in leading management and marketing journals such as Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior (A*), Personnel Psychology (A*), Journal of Service Research (A*), and Journal of Service Management (A).
John has taught undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA level courses in many different areas, such as Organisational Behaviour, Management and Leadership, Human Resource Management, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He also taught research method workshops for Ph.D. students.
He also serves as a reviewer for academic conferences (i.e., AoM) and peer-reviewed academic journals, where he reviews quantitative submissions in several research areas, such as emotional regulation, customer mistreatment, customer service, service management, and organizational behaviour in general.
