Biography
Background
Heru has dedicated himself in the field of English education for nearly 10 years. He received his bachelor degree (Bachelor of Education) in English education, the State University of Makassar and his Master ( Master of Humanity) in English Language Study, Hasanuddin University, Makassar South Sulawesi Indonesia. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in School of Education, The University of Newcastle Australia. He has been working as a casual academic in some private institutions as an English teacher since 2010.
Current Research
His research is a part of New Literacy Studies in the culture and language complexity in Makassar, South Sulawesi Indonesia context. He is doing an ethnographic study to explore young adults' daily English use in and outside of the school.

He is interested in EFL/ESL literacy, Education, and Pedagogy.
