Biography
A Worimi man from Karuah north of Newcastle, Jodan has gained 12 years experience in the media industry since graduating from the University of Newcastle with a B/Communication in 2013.
Most recently he held executive leadership positions at National Indigenous Television (Special Broadcasting Service) as Head of Digital and Executive Producer of News and Current Affairs.
Experienced editor and cross platform content maker with a range of high level skills. Jodan most passionate about telling Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories and mentoring junior staff. These interests have led to his current role as a Lecturer at the Wollotuka Institute.
His major research focus will be on the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the Australian mass media.
