Biography
Ms Grace Barham is a PhD candidate at the School of Law and Justice, University of Newcastle, Australia, and a casual research assistant. Her program of research focuses on the intersection of gender, domestic and family violence, and public policy. Ms Barham was awarded the University of Newcastle medal in 2022 for her honours thesis, which analysed government policy objectives in relation to the provision of programs and services for incarcerated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. Ms Barham is the recipient of an Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship for her PhD project, which examines women's experiences of accessing housing support after leaving domestic and family violence in the Hunter region of New South Wales.
