Career Summary

Biography

I am an early career social science researcher, and am currently working as a Research Assistant for the Conservatorium of Music at the University of Newcastle.

Having graduated from a Bachelor of Social Science (with a Major in Environment and Society) at The University of Queensland in 2021, I have experience conducting research projects evaluating university experience, curriculum, student engagement and outcomes. I also completed a year-long research project in collaboration with the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS), investigating recommendations for a state-level affordable housing policy framework.

I am deeply passionate about intersectional social-environmental justice, and am interested in using radical Participatory Action Research to co-create equitable and just outcomes for collective liberation. I aim to ensure that the research process in itself generates positive outcomes, as well as the research product.

I also facilitate community engagement activities and live performances through my role as a sound technician and intern at Curious Legends theatre company. Additionally, I have experience in the private sector as a Graduate Social Scientist for an environmental consulting firm, and as a data collection officer for a research agency.
