Career Summary

Biography

Charlotte is a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, where she focuses on landscape modelling and movement analysis to support the conservation of koalas in New South Wales. Her research explores how habitat changes over time impact koala populations, with a particular emphasis on population dynamics and movement patterns in low-density areas.

Prior to her PhD, Charlotte completed a master's degree with a dual focus: characterizing the habitat of the greater noctule bat in France (University of Toulouse, Paul Sabatier) and developing habitat suitability models for three at-risk landbird species in Nova Scotia, Canada (Dalhousie University). She then worked for three years in France as an ecologist, gaining practical experience in conservation and species management.

Charlotte began her doctoral research in 2023. Her work integrates spatial and species modelling to better understand how threatened species respond to environmental pressures and landscape change.
