Career Summary

School leadership roles in a range of secondary education contexts, along with a passion for working with pre-service teachers has led to my current role working in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs at the University of Newcastle.

I aim to support the development of pre-service teachers through authentic connections with schools in the Hunter region and beyond, with a commitment to working with rural and remote learning communities.

A key focus that I aim to bring to my role, is the importance of teacher wellbeing to promote sustainability and longevity within the profession.  My current research interest lay in the area of 'soft skill' development in ITE programs, that in turn enhance graduate employability.
