Fostering a welcoming, respectful and safe campus environment for our students and staff is something for which we continuously strive.
At the University of Newcastle, we know that support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer or questioning, and asexual colleagues and students must extend beyond the symbolism of a rainbow pedestrian crossing and events such as Pride.
We also acknowledge the diversity and intersections within the (LGBTIQA+) community and by listening to people’s unique lived experiences, we will continue to create more inclusive policies, curriculums, and campus
