New Scholarship to Build Careers in Construction
The team at Richard Crookes Constructions understand the importance of building a diverse and inclusive industry and a workforce that represents our communities.
Recently recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in Australia by Great Place to Work, this generous company has launched a scholarship to support construction and civil engineering students at the University of Newcastle.
The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying any year of the Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours) or Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) degrees, with the potential to secure an internship to gain invaluable work experience.
This scholarship has been an immense help for my studies. I have been able to get the hardware and software I need to run construction management programs and purchase textbooks that have helped me achieve higher marks. This has taken away a lot of stress. I'm very grateful to Richard Crookes Constructions for their support in helping me finish my degree, and their commitment to making a difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples." - Heath van Beusekom, Construction Management student and Richard Crookes Constructions Scholarship recipient
