General Practitioner Radiation Oncology Education Evening
Join us for a FREE interactive, educational evening at the University of Newcastle’s Global Centre for Research and Training in Radiation Oncology exploring:
- Radiation Therapy and its advancements.
- A cancer patients’ pathway through CT simulation, planning and treatment.
- Referral pathways – how and when to contact your local Radiation Oncologist.
- Oncological emergencies and how to manage them.
- A General Practitioner’s role during and after radiation therapy including side effect management.
Specialist presenters will include a Radiation Oncologist, Radiation Therapists, a Radiation Oncology Nurse and General Practitioner.
This is a RACGP endorsed CPD Activity: 3 EA Hours
As a participant of the Radiation Oncology Education Evening, you may be asked to complete a survey that forms part of research investigating current General Practitioner levels of knowledge and confidence in radiation oncology patient management.
Participation in the survey is optional and does not affect your participation in the education evening.
