Description
This course will develop managers and leaders skills in supporting staff experiencing mental health challenges to improve workplace health and safety, retention, and productivity. It provides an understanding of the impact of mental health conditions on staff and skills in building workplaces in which people thrive. Evidence-based approaches to reducing absenteeism, increasing productivity, and reducing staff turnover will be introduced.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Identify and describe the impact of staff mental health challenges in the workplace.
2. Identify and discuss the workplace needs of staff experiencing mental health challenges.
3. Design and develop strategies to support mental health challenges in the workplace .

- Understanding and analysing the impact of staff mental health challenges in the workplace.
- Understanding the needs of staff experiencing mental health challenges.
- Helping staff return to work after mental health challenges.
- Re-designing work roles for someone who has suffered mental health challenges.
- Reducing absenteeism and staff turnover and increasing productivity.
