If you live on campus, you have access to exclusive residential parking bays near the accommodation precinct. To see the locations of the car parks, click here. To use these bays, you will need to purchase a Residential Parking Permit. Traffic and parking rules apply

Permit options

Residents can purchase an annual or six month permit. A six month permit is only available for Semester Two residents. If you only need a six month permit for Semester One, you will need to purchase an annual permit and return the permit to the Student Living office at the end of your contract to receive a refund.

Residential parking permit holders must be current residents. Should you vacate your Student Living residence at any stage during the year you must return your residential parking permit on move-out. A pro-rata refund will be provided upon receipt.

This permit allows you to park in Residential parking bays only. This permit is not valid for General, Staff, Service or Disabled parking bays.

All University of Newcastle campuses are restricted parking areas. Once you have been issued a Residential permit, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions, Rules governing Traffic and Parking and the operational guidelines relating to this permit.
You can contact Infrastructure and Facilities Services if you have any questions or concerns about these terms - 16500@newcastle.edu.au
