Wednesday 19 August
NUmates Sand Dune Safari
10:00am - 3:30pm • Design Bus Stop • Ring Road, Newcastle Callaghan
*International Students ONLY* Join the NUmates team for a day of sandboarding! Similar to snowboarding, sandboarding is done in the heat & by the ocean; with an option to sit or stand as you glide down the dunes. Come along to try your go at a new activity & get to know other international students. Beginners welcome!
Thursday 20 August
International Student Festival
2:00pm - 5:00pm • The Great Hall • The Great Hall, Newcastle Callaghan
You're invited to the International Student Festival, a relaxed afternoon celebrating culture, connection and community. Meet fellow students, explore cultural experiences, enjoy food, entertainment and activities, and connect with clubs and support services from across the University. The event will also feature a welcome from the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and the University's Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere designed to help international students feel welcomed, celebrated and at home.
Friday 21 August
Whale Watching Boat Tour
10:00am - 12:00pm • Honeysuckle Marina • Honeysuckle Marina, Newcastle
*International Students ONLY* Winter in Aus welcomes the great Humpack Whale Migration! This tour gives us the chance to observe these beautiful creatures & their calves, up close. Dolphins, seabirds and seals often also seen from aboard our high speed vessle.

Mosaic Masterpieces
10:30am - 1:00pm • The House • The House, Newcastle Callaghan
*International Students ONLY* This months creative workshop features mosaicing your own tile square! Use your decorated square as a plant stand, pot holder, or standalone art piece! Drinks and snacks provided, and this event is FREE to all international students.
Friday 28 August
Hunter Valley Segway Tour
9:30am - 3:30pm • Design Bus Stop • Ring Road, Newcastle Callaghan
*International Students ONLY* Day out in the Hunter Valley! Includes a segway tour of local vineyards, a non-alcoholic wine tasting & a picnic lunch. Further food drink & activities available at additional expense.
