Engage, Develop and Demonstrate the skills required for effective leadership

Since 2009, the iLEAD program has supported outstanding students in developing the skills required to lead meaningful change. Members of iLEAD progress through a specialised program that offers bespoke workshops, mentoring from leading alumni and the opportunity to lead and contribute to community projects that have impact.

Alyce Carroll -

iLEAD has helped me to create meaningful goals for my future and introduced me to a wide interdisciplinary network of talented people. iLEAD has taken me on a journey of self-actualisation, giving me the belief that my ideas are valued and confidence to take the lead towards positive change.

Jessica Heaney -

I participated in the iLEAD Program to build upon my professional network by meeting colleagues who wished to engage in skills development. iLEAD presented numerous opportunities to further refine my leadership skills through workshops and networking events. I particularly found the Mentoring Program a valuable asset to further explore my leadership capabilities and how to set manageable goals in the workplace.

Through iLEAD I have established a community of like-minded people and I highly recommend this program for students at all stages of their journey at university!

Noel Khan -

iLEAD has proven to me that, within ourselves, we are all great leaders and we need to nurture that and keep getting better at what we do first, in order to reach our goals and dreams as an individual.

The iLEAD experience

iLEAD is staged over three chapters of development.  The program provides participants with the space to engage with leadership concepts and develop individual skill sets within campus based programs, with the final chapter supporting a demonstration of leadership skills through networking and engagement with the broader community.

Chapter 1 - Engage

Chapter One is focused on engaging you with new concepts, new people and a new way of approaching your leadership goals.

Participants will join contemporary workshops facilitated by leading practitioners and attend a range of Chapter collaborative events aimed at widening your network within the iLEAD community.

Chapter 2 - Develop

Chapter Two is about developing real-world leadership skills through participation in either the iLEAD Student Committee, or self-directed community-minded projects.

Students are supported by our iLEAD team and senior colleagues while being mentored by a member of our Alumni community

Chapter 3 - Demonstrate

Chapter Three participants demonstrate their skills through student committee leaderships and building their community network through external industry events.
