Dr Vahid Biglari

Dr. Vahid Biglari had Ph.D. in financial reporting and accounting. Prior to joining Newcastle Australia IHE, he was lecturer at Henley Business School, University of Reading Malaysia, and assistant professor at UCSI University, Malaysia. In addition, Vahid spent several years outside academia in accounting and audit industries to supplement his academic knowledge with practical application.

He taught courses on various accounting subjects for undergraduate and graduate students and he has served as reviewer for journals. Vahid has also supervised several postgraduate and undergraduate dissertations. He was recently awarded as a provisional member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Vahid’s research interests include Human Resources accounting, Big data in accounting, and transparency in financial markets. He has published various articles in international journals including Asia-Pacific Financial Markets; Journal of Business Theory and Practice; and Journal of Economics and International Finance. Vahid is also a licensed forensic accountant with the Iranian Association of Forensic Accountants and an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
