Our CSR initiatives continued this year with TOUCH Home Care on 14 April 2016. Nine Singapore staff volunteered in a ‘Meals-on-Wheels’ (a meal delivery programme) to collect pre-packed dinner food, and then walking along a designated route to deliver the food packages.

Several monitors, computers and laptops which are still in working conditions have been donated to Me Too! Club. This donation initiative started when the team at UON Singapore sees a value in giving back to the community and providing opportunities for persons with intellectual disability to be able to learn and use the machines for both education and entertainment. The gesture was welcomed with much appreciation as UON Singapore relays the activity that is being implemented as part of its CSR commitment.

We are pleased to announce our first Bachelor of Communication (BCOMN) graduate who has gone on to complete a PhD in Communication and Media Arts. Denise Mohan Tan completed the BCOMN program from Singapore on 5 October 2010 and was a University Medallist. Denise is certainly the first to go through her entire studies with the University of Newcastle.
