Our Engineering students won 3rd Prize in National Engineers Day (NED) - Energy Innovation Challenge 2016

On 24 July 2016, our Engineering students in Singapore - Terence Tang Jia Wei, Thamiris Lorena De Souza, Shreeya Vashist, and Navendu Kumar Dubey secured the 3rd position in National Engineers Day (NED) - Energy Innovation Challenge 2016, held at HDB Hub Atrium, Singapore.

EDIT. e-magazine launch by UON Singapore Journalism Collective

In February 2016, EDIT. – an online magazine was produced and launched by the Journalism Collective which consists of the Bachelor of Communication students from UON Singapore. This e-magazine is a student initiative developed to give students an experience as reporters and journalists. The students will also be exposed with a body of work to show to prospective employers.

Meal delivery for frail elderlies at their doorstep

UON Singapore’s CSR initiatives continued this year with TOUCH Home Care on 14 April 2016. Nine UON Singapore staff volunteered in a ‘Meals-on-Wheels’ (a meal delivery programme) to collect pre-packed dinner food, and then walking along a designated route to deliver the food packages.

UON Singapore donates computers to Me Too! Club.

Several monitors, computers and laptops which are still in working conditions have been donated to Me Too! Club. This donation initiative started when the team at UON Singapore sees a value in giving back to the community and providing opportunities for persons with intellectual disability to be able to learn and use the machines for both education and entertainment. The gesture was welcomed with much appreciation as UON Singapore relays the activity that is being implemented as part of its CSR commitment.
