UON Singapore Awards & Appreciation Ceremony 2020

University of Newcastle, Singapore successfully held its annual Awards and Appreciation ceremony on 28 August 2020 via a virtual ceremony event due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All professional and academic staff, together with students, alumni, partners BCA Academy and PSB Academy, industry partners and guests attended the webinar to celebrate the achievements of our students and staff.

In her speech, Professor Sally Chan, PVC and CEO of UON Singapore sent her sincere appreciation to all industry partners, sponsors, students, alumni and staff who contributed and made this virtual event possible and for their continuous support towards UON, Singapore. She congratulated all the deserving award recipients.

Our guest speaker for the event, Mr. Derrick Chang – CEO of PSB Academy shared his personal story and gave an inspiring speech of how he had overcome various crises during his career such as the Asian Financial Crisis, SARS and now this Covid-19 pandemic.

Representing the student community as the Student Speaker was Isabella Ye Tian from the Bachelor of Communication program and is also the Chair of the UONS-IPRS Student Chapter.
