Role Description

Student Administration Officer provides efficient and effective administrative support in various stages of the Student Life Cycle, including but not exclusive to admissions, enrolment, teaching allocation, timetabling, Graduation and other related academic services and matters. This encompasses fostering and maintaining relationships within the organisation and University, service providers and community stakeholders, both domestic and international.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Admissions and application processing, program/course advice and enquiries management;
  • Administer student enrolment process and issues, handle orientations and online services training;
  • Administer examination related matters;
  • Manage and update student records, generate relevant reports and handle student appeals;
  • Assist to prepare policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures;
  • Liaise with Private Education Institutions on CPE registration, audit requests and other related matters;
  • Attend and provide admission support in marketing events, previews and education fairs;
  • Handle general enquiries (email, in person, phone) and write minutes;
  • Undertake any other duties relevant and appropriate to this level or as directed.

Selection Criteria

  • Completion of a degree level qualification with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to organise workflows to meet competing demands and adaptability to a range of workplace expectations and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership and driving innovation, process improvement and contributing to overall corporate operations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
  • Ability to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic direction or external requirements.
  • Ability to make sound decisions within your sphere of responsibility and take responsibility for delivering to plan and on time.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including office software skills in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Databases and email applications.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of the Singapore private education industry.
  • Skills in admissions and enrolment processes.

Role Description

  • Plan and develop teaching load and course allocation, manage and allocate teaching responsibilities with partners, manage teaching staff and evaluation database;
  • Assist with data entry, records and filing, prepare quarterly performance reports;
  • Assist to prepare policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures;
  • Liaise with Private Education Institutions and CPE on registration of program and staff, audit requests and other related matters;
  • Manage projects including preparation, collection and organization of information, from initialization to implementation;
  • Provide administrative support to full-time academic staff including organising focus groups, meet the PVC sessions, administering of surveys, and gathering information for quarterly reports;
  • Handle general enquiries (email, in person, phone) and write minutes; and
  • Undertake any other duties relevant and appropriate to this level or as directed.
