Sessional Lecturers / Tutors - Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)

We are seeking sessional lecturers/tutors with a proven track record of effective teaching and experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching and coaching the following courses:

Modelling and Control (Full-Time Programme)

This course introduces students to modelling and control of engineering systems. It presents tools that are fundamental for the analysis and design of such systems. The tools presented in the course use energy as a key element to develop modelling skills that can transcend physical domains and engineering specialisations. In addition, the course provides students with an understanding of the principle of feedback along with an introduction to classical control design techniques. Topics include fundamental limitations, stability of closed-loop systems, control design for time domain and frequency domain specifications.

Selection Criteria

*A Master’s Degree in the relevant field with some professional experience would be an added advantage.
*Evidence of lecturing and/or tutoring skills and a commitment to the delivery of high-quality teaching
*Ability to work cooperatively with academic and professional staff
*Willingness to contribute effectively as a member of a cohesive team
