Professor Caroline Chan
Pro Vice-chancellor and CEO
Professor Caroline Chan is the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of UON Singapore, a wholly owned entity of the University of Newcastle Australia.
Professor Chan has extensive experience in international education and global education partnerships, with deep knowledge of Singapore, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. She has worked with universities worldwide to develop joint programs, and with global companies and employers to develop education partnership initiatives and industry-oriented programs including global work-integrated learning and internships.
Prior to joining the University of Newcastle, Professor Chan was the Dean and Head of the School of Business IT and Logistics, RMIT University from 2010 to 2019. In this role she led the restructure of the School, undertook program transformation, increasing online delivery and expanding the School’s global footprint to deliver award-winning programs and innovative learning. Prior to her position at RMIT, Professor Chan also held several roles at Deakin University with responsibility for new programs development, industry engagement and international mobility. She was instrumental in the early development of online learning and was awarded the Carrick Australian Citation Award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in recognition of her innovative online learning approaches.
With a research focus on information systems and technologies and its use in eBusiness and supply chain management, Professor Chan has worked with various government and industry bodies leading national significant projects including low value parcel processing, national food composition database, and the DFAT e-commerce aid for trade fund on cyber-security for micro, small and medium businesses.
Among many honours, Professor Chan is a Fellow of Australian Computer Society (ACS), the Chair of Accreditation Committee of ACS, Skills Futures Fellow for the Australia Indonesia Centre (AIC), and the past President of the Australia Council of Head and Professors of Information Systems.
Professor Chan has a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, a Master degree in Systems Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Kavitha is currently the Academic Director at UON Singapore. She holds a doctorate in Environmental Health Engineering from Sri Ramachandra Medical University, India. She has been with the University of Newcastle, Australia, since January 2010, first as an associate lecturer and then as a full-time lecturer from September 2012. She teaches the Occupational Health and Safety components of the BEnvOHS Program. She is also actively involved in research related to the effects of lead exposure on children, mental health illnesses on adults, alternative approaches to enhance sleep, epidemiology of dengue fever, climate change, biofuels and nanotoxicology. She is a member of IOSH and Nanosing Initiative of Singapore.

Deputy Director; Planning, Resources and Operations
Michelle possess close to 20 years of experience in the education industry and leads the professional team in UON Singapore. She holds multidisciplinary qualifications in the areas of Multimedia Computing Diploma from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Business (Marketing) Degree from Central Queensland University and Educational Leadership and Management Graduate Diploma from RMIT University. She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for her academic achievements and a Community of Practice member for the private education industry in Singapore.
She hopes to make a positive contribution to the continued success and growth of UON Singapore in the Asia Pacific region through her passion and previous experiences in various leadership roles and functions of the education and training industry in Singapore and internationally.

Senior Manager, Human Resources
Jane is currently the Senior Manager, Human Resource and Corporate Governance. She oversees the full of spectrum human resource functions and manages the corporate governance affairs of UON Singapore. She holds an honours degree in business administration and certificate in applied psychology. She brings with her more than twenty years of full spectrum human resource experience in both private and public sectors, of which the recent last ten years were in education.
