Sessional Lecturers / Tutors - Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Honours)
We are seeking sessional lecturers/tutors with a proven track record of effective teaching and experience in the field of Electrical Electronic Engineering. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching and coaching the following courses:
1) Electric Energy Systems (Full Time Programme)
This course introduces the theory of magnetic circuits, transformers and electromagnetic energy conversion and applies these fundamental principles to systems which rely on them. Topics considered may include three phase circuits, magnetic circuits, transformers, electromechanical energy conversion, transmission lines, introductory electric machines and power systems.
2)Electrical Machines and Power Systems (Full Time Programme)
Analyses the steady state of performance of D.C. and A.C. (single and polyphase) machines in the context of their application. Space vector theory is introduced. Fundamental power system topics are introduced including transmission line parameters and steady state operation and power system representation.
*A Master’s Degree in the relevant field with some professional experience would be an added advantage.
*Evidence of lecturing and/or tutoring skills and a commitment to the delivery of high-quality teaching
*Ability to work cooperatively with academic and professional staff
*Willingness to contribute effectively as a member of a cohesive team
