Research Overview

The research revolves around the rights of farmers and protection of their traditional knowledge in India especially in the wake of challenges posed by climate change. In this regard, an examination of the farming techniques employed by farmers and an analysis of the working of regulatory systems is intended to be done. The study proposes to suggest possible changes to the existing framework, reflecting an equitable approach considering food security, farmers rights and governance of local knowledge, based on empirical studies along with analysis of the implementation of existing provisions. Such framework may be potentially useful for making suitable changes in the Australian framework.
