Eden Gardens is an award winning Horticultural Lifestyle Centre located in Macquarie Park adjoining the Lane Cove National Park with facilities including Display Gardens, Garden Centre, retain lifestyle products, cafe and function centre, art gallery, and educational facilities. Eden Gardens' reason for being is to enrich people's lives with plants.

Eden Gardens' directors wish to provide a Natural History Illustration Honours Scholarship for intense study of plants in the Display Garden at Eden Gardens over a six week period, from which the student will create a body of artworks, culminating in an exhibition at the Eden Gardens Art Gallery.

The Eden Foundation has also been established due to the directors' genuine commitment to both social and environmental causes with a community mission to improve the quality of life in the wider community through horticulture and education. The Eden Foundation has provided support to Fr Chris Riley's Youth off the Streets, Cancer Council NSW, and Community Greening and Youth Community Greening through Botanic Gardens Trust. In 2011 they supported the publishing of a graphic novel created by University of Newcastle students.
