ENGG2200: Lean LaunchPad (for entrepreneurs)

Callaghan campus. Each Semester.

In an introduction to the basics of the famous Customer Development Process by Steve Blank, this 12-week program provides insight into the key steps needed to build a successful startup. The main idea in this course is learning how to rapidly develop and test ideas by gathering massive amounts of customer and marketplace feedback. Many startups fail by not validating their ideas early on with real-life customers. In order to mitigate that, participants will learn how to get out of the building and search for the real pain points and unmet needs of customers. Only with these can the entrepreneur find a proper solution and establish a suitable business model. More info.

ON Prime (for researchers)

Various locations. May and September.

Purpose built for researchers, this free 8-week program provides the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the people who could benefit most from your research and sharpen skills to communicate with that audience. Across six full-day face-to-face sessions, expert facilitators and mentors support teams to build evidence for the impact of research. Time is carved out in the sessions for teams to work on a project and connect with potential beneficiaries, new partners or industry. In addition to the face-to-face sessions, teams find opportunities during the week to have conversations with potential customers to gain insights from people outside the program. More info.

I2N Accelerate (for entrepreneurs)
