
Booking and Training
Step 1: Register for iLab
iLab is our online instrument booking system.
You can register to access iLab at https://uon.ilab.agilent.com/account/login.
Use your University of Newcastle credentials to complete the registration.
Step 2: Register for online training
Before you can use any ABRF equipment, you must complete the relevant online training.
To register for training:
- log into iLab
- go to the 'Request Services' tab
- select the equipment you need to be trained in.
Step 3: Sign up for a facility induction
In order to enter the ABRF or use the equipment, you must complete a site induction.
Inductions are held at the Life Sciences facility on our Callaghan campus or the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) in New Lambton.
To sign-up for an induction:
- log into iLab
- go to the 'Request Services' tab
- select 'ABRF Facility Safety Induction' to request an induction
- complete all of the PC2 certification items required.
Step 4: Book an instrument
Once the steps above have been completed, you can book access to ABRF equipment via iLab.
To book time with an instrument specialist, request a training booking on the required instrument via iLab's 'Schedule Equipment' tab.
