Stroke Recovery Program

The Stroke Recovery program is working to improve the lives of those affected by stroke. Stroke can have many physical, mental and emotional impacts such as paralysis, poor coordination, memory loss and depression.  Our research team is working to better understand the impacts of stroke on patient and carer lives, and to guide recovery trough evidence based practice.

The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
