Software to Assist Universities with Equity Initiatives

The University of Newcastle has developed predictive models of retention using pre-commencing data to target interventions for students most at risk of dropping out in first semester. This has highlighted the potential benefits to students if the approach is adopted more widely across the institution and throughout the students' academic program.

This project has been awarded $270,800 to implement additional IT resources and external expertise to enhance student access to support services.

The project is being led by Professor Liz Burd.
