Step 1: Register for training
- Complete the online registration form located at EMX Booking page. Click on the 'To Register' link to enter your details. You will receive a confirmation notice when your registration has been processed.
Step 2: Complete a Subscription form
Subscription fees apply to all researchers, postdocs and HDR students wishing to use the EMX equipment. Undergraduate and Honours students are exempt. EMX subscriptions are valid from January to December 2019. They provide unlimited access to all instruments and equipment in the EMX laboratory (pending availability), as well as to technical support and training by EMX staff.

Step 3: Complete online training.
Study the appropriate online courses listed below for the instruments you intend to use. Complete the test at the end of each course and email the certificate to email@example.com
Step 4: Sign up to attend an induction to work in the EMX
Dates for 2019:

- April 16th
- May 14th
- June 18th
- July 16th
- August 20th
- September 17th
- October 15th
- November 19th
- December 10th
All inductions commence at 9am and are held in the EMX. All EMX Users and visitors must wear appropriate enclosed footwear to the EMX.
Step 5: Begin Training
To make a booking, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying the instrument that you wish to use, the number and type of samples that you have and the analysis that you would like to carry out. Please notify EMX staff of any safety constraints regarding your samples before bringing them to the EMX. Please also send any relevant papers detailing the analysis you would like to carry out with your booking request. EMX staff will contact you to organise a booking.
EMX staff are responsible for training Users, generally on a one to one basis. Users are prohibited from training other Users.
