Dr Jim Bentley
Dr Bentley commenced in July 2016 as Managing Director with Hunter Water Corporation.
As a member of both the Board of Directors and Executive Management Teams he is responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of Hunter Water's strategic vision and direction, stakeholder engagement, delivery of capital programs and projects as well as compliance with regulatory frameworks administered by groups such as IPART and the NSW EPA.
Dr Bentley has over 20 years’ experience in water and wastewater infrastructure management spanning from the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia.
He has held executive positions in the public and private sectors, as client, contractor, operator, investor, consultant and researcher and worked with a variety of service providers including Thames Water in London, Metrowater in Auckland.
Dr Bentley is also the Director of the Centre for Infrastructure Research at the University of Auckland which provides translational research to inform government and industry decision-making.
