The 5th Oxyfuel Capacity Building Course

The fifth Oxy-fuel Capacity Building Course was held on the days prior to the 3rd Oxyfuel Combus-tion Conference in Leon, Spain.

The Oxyfuel capacity building courses have been launched first in 2009 and have since then been held in Daejeon, Korea, Beijing, China, Yeppoon, Australia and Tokyo, Japan. The courses are designed as stand alone, covering status, theory and practice, and to provide background knowledge to delegates new to oxy-fuel technology for carbon capture and storage. The target audience for this course are engineers from power generation industries and university research students.

This course was organised by Professor Joerg Maier, IFK University of Stutgart.  Professor Maier has been an integral member of the Oxyfuel Working Group and has contributed to the Capacity Building Course since their inception in 2009.
