To better examine these complex, diverse and challenging areas, the Centre utilises multiple research methods including:

  • Qualitative research through interviews, focus groups and ethnographies
  • Quantitative research undertaken through personal, online and phone surveys
  • Mixed methods or research through a triangulation of both qualitative and quantitative approaches

Through the effective application of in-depth and comprehensive research methods the Centre has demonstrated capacity to:

  • Provide a sound evidence base to better understanding individuals, communities and industries
  • Provide policy advice and planning services
  • Establish stakeholder engagement frameworks
  • Host professional development courses and workshops
