University, Student and Community Programs

The Centre of Excellence for Equity in Higher Education works directly with students and communities, to support people from diverse and under-represented backgrounds to access, engage and succeed in higher education.

A shared framework and 'Relational Navigation' underpins each of these activities and supports the development of inclusive, pedagogical, research-informed practices, shaped by engagement in ongoing critical reflection and evaluation.

The team of relational navigators walk alongside students throughout the university journey. The below programs have been built in consult with students and communities and the team are actively involved with community events, policy shifts and challenges; and research and evaluation.

For more information about the Relational Navigator concept, please contact Emily Fuller at emily.fuller@newcastle.edu.au. See below for more information on each of the programs.
