Abul is Professor of Finance and has held numerous leadership roles including Head of the Newcastle Business School. His research interests are in the areas of financial market efficiency and asset pricing. He has published two books and over twenty articles in A-ranked journals. He has supervised 38 research students, including 16 PhDs and undertaken collaborative research with academics from Monash University, La Trobe University and Simon Fraser University. He has attracted Australian and Canadian government-funded grants.
Bo is a senior lecturer whose main research area is in financial accounting. In particular, she is interested in the role of financial and non-financial information in improving the market efficiency, the managerial incentives to provide voluntary corporate disclosers, the market implications of analyst and management forecasts, earnings quality and corporate governance. Her papers have been published in leading Australian and international journals including Contemporary Accounting Research. She has a PhD from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
Neil is a senior lecturer who has worked in commercial-sector financial management and accounting, small business management and financial planning, and has twenty years of experience as a tertiary level educator in Australia, South East Asia and the United Kingdom. He is the author of a book examining financial planning, has published articles in leading Australian and international journals, and has presented at numerous conferences – including as keynote speaker.
Van is a lecturer who has undertaken research across wide areas of finance, including areas of derivatives pricing. Her research has been published in high-quality international journals and presented her research and leading national and international conferences.
Doowon is a senior lecturer whose research interests include asset pricing, market microstructure, and corporate finance. His main research interest is in investigating how effectively market participants use information. His papers have been published in leading Australian and international journals including Contemporary Accounting Research. He has a PhD from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
Adrian is a lecturer whose research interests centre on asset pricing, particularly the importance of corporate governance as a factor in asset pricing. He has published in high-quality journals following a successful early career in investment banking with a range of leading organisations.
Michael is a senior lecturer whose research interests are in financial accounting and corporate governance. Dr Seamer has presented his corporate governance research at a range of national and international conferences and has regularly contributed to the national media with respect to corporate governance issues. Michael also consults widely to the private sector and has advised both State and Federal parliamentarians. He is the co-author of the industry-funded Horwath Corporate Governance report which has been widely used across research and policy analyses.
