Career Summary
Biography
Penny is the Executive Officer for the Centre for Resources Health and Safety (CRHS) at the University of Newcastle. Penny's role is to provide high level support to the Centre's Chair, Associate Director and research staff, particularly through the coordination and management of research and business projects, including monitoring the CRHS financial and operational performance. She is also responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Centre's KPIS's, as well as continuing to develop strategic partnerships with external organisations, particularly key industry groups in the resources sector at a state and national level. Penny has a Bachelor of Business (Management major) with a background in the finance industry. She also has a Bachelor of Nursing Science and a Master of Public Health. The focus of her research support has been based around preventable non-communicable disease and has clinical nursing experience in orthopaedics, oncology, ICU, mental health and competency as a theatre scrub nurse, specifically ophthalmology and plastics.
