Biography

Kay is a paediatric physiotherapist currently working in Coffs Harbour.  She carries 2 professional roles; Firstly an associate lecturer with the University Of Newcastle Department Of Rural Health in Coffs Harbour, and secondly a paediatric physiotherapy clinical role.

Kay studied an undergraduate degree in applied science from Cumberland College of Health Science, and a Master of Health Science from the University of Sydney.  She worked for a few years as a generalist physiotherapist before moving into peadiatrics.

Kay has now worked clinically for 30 years, mostly in paediatric roles.  This has included time in several children's hospitals throughout Australia and the UK.  She is one of only 4 specialist paediatric physiotherapists in Australia, being admitted as a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2011.

Special interests include clubfoot and developmental dislocation of the hip in infants, and physical activity in children and adolescents with chronic health conditions.
