Christian is currently a Professor in History Education at Zurich University of Teacher Education (click here: PHZH) where he teaches courses in History Education, Social Studies Education, and General Studies: Phenomenon Orientated Teaching, Multi- and Interdisciplinary Teaching.

He is also a member of the HERMES research group concentrated within the School of Education at the University of Newcastle, Australia. (click here: HERMES research group)

His current scholarly projects focus in various ways on students', teacher students', and teachers' conceptions and beliefs.
